Fine-tune your ride feel instead of settling for whatever the mousse gives you.

The Mousse Tube Drill is a purpose-built rubber core drill designed to precisely remove sections of a motorcycle mousse tube, allowing you to soften the mousse and increase traction exactly where you want it. By extracting material in controlled amounts, you can dial in a plusher feel, improved ground conformity, and better grip across changing terrain.

Go too soft? No problem. The removed rubber cores can be re-inserted to restore firmness, giving you a fully adjustable setup without replacing the mousse.

Features:

  • Designed specifically for motorcycle mousse tubes
  • Cleanly cores rubber without tearing or deforming
  • Adjustable firmness by removing or re-inserting material
  • Improves traction and ride feel
  • Reversible, reusable, and tuneable

Perfect for hard enduro riders who want custom traction, predictable feel, and total control over their mousse setup.

FAQ's

What's included in the $680 delivered price?

Everything. Your custom aluminium tailboard, tinted LED flat mount angry eye lights, full mounting bracket kit, and delivery to your door anywhere in Australia. No hidden costs.

What information do you need from me after I order?

Just two things - your overall tray width measurement and a photo of your current tray setup. Send these through to our Instagram @dmc_aus after you've placed your order.

How long until I receive my board?

3-4 business days to build (7-9 if powder coated), plus courier transit time for delivered orders - most metro deliveries arrive within a week of the board being finished.

Where are your products manufactured?

Simply wire in your existing plugs from your old tail lights to the new lights and connect them to your existing wiring loom. Resistors may need to be added to the indicators if you're not already running LED style lights.

I want my board powder coated. Will this take longer?

Yes. Powder coating will add 4-5 days lead time to your order - making your order 7-9 days plus shipping. Most metro orders arrive within a week of ordering.

I have under tray toolboxes on my ute. Can you make your tailboards to suit that profile?

Yes, within reason. Depending on what your under tray toolboxes look like, most of the time we can create a product to suit that exact profile. Send us a photo and your measurements and we'll let you know what's possible.

I already have my own taillights. Can you supply the board without lights?

Absolutely. We'll subtract the cost of the lights and supply you the board on its own. No worries at all.

How do the tailboards mount to my ute and how long does installation take?

A mounting system is welded onto the back of each tailboard. This uses brackets supplied to bolt through your main support rails underneath your ute tray. These support rails need to be cut back to the thickness of the board so that it sits nice and flush with the back of your tray. It is then simply drilled and bolted into place. No visible mounts are seen on our tailboards, which gives them a seamless and clean look. Allow around one to two hours for installation including wiring.

I have a steel tray. Do you make steel tailboards?

No. We only manufacture aluminium tailboards. However we supply many aluminium tailboards that bolt straight onto steel trays. The corrosion resistance and lightweight nature of aluminium makes it a far better option than steel for your tray anyway.

Do you make tailboards to suit a 79 Series LandCruiser?

Absolutely. All of our boards can easily be bolted to a 79 Series. The four bolt mounting system also makes it super easy to remove the board whenever you need to access your spare wheel underneath.
